Our Story
In 1974, Dale and Sidney Hemmingmoore moved to Spokane, Washington, drawn by the energy of Expo '74 and the beauty of the inland Northwest. What started as a shared passion for gemstones quickly became a life's work. They opened their jewelry store and built a reputation for exceptional natural stones and original handcrafted designs made in-house, with every stone personally selected.
For over thirty years, Hemmingmoore was a destination for anyone who wanted an original, one-of-a-kind piece of handmade jewelry. When Dale passed away in 2008, the physical store closed, but the Hemmingmoore commitment to quality and artistry never stopped.
Sidney Hemmingmoore, a GIA Graduate Gemologist, continues to offer the same extraordinary natural gemstones and handcrafted jewelry that she and Dale spent a lifetime creating. The collection includes finished pieces, loose stones, and rough specimens, each one carrying the Hemmingmoore standard of quality.
Now, the next generation is stepping in. Dale and Sidney's adult children are carrying the family tradition forward, bringing new energy to a legacy built on original design and a deep love of natural stone.
