Every Color of the Rainbow
No gemstone family offers a wider range of color than tourmaline. From electric greens and deep blues to vivid pinks, rich reds, and warm watermelon bicolors, tourmaline occurs in virtually every hue — and often in combinations that no other gem can produce. The most prized varieties include the intense blue-green of Paraíba tourmaline, the hot pink of rubellite, and the chrome greens that rival emerald.
Tourmaline is a boron silicate mineral found in pegmatite deposits around the world — from Brazil and East Africa to Afghanistan, Nigeria, and the gem gravels of Sri Lanka. Fine tourmaline is also mined in the United States, particularly in Maine and California. Each source produces its own signature palette, and exceptional stones of any color command serious collector interest.
At Hemmingmoore's, every tourmaline we carry is natural and genuine — never synthetic, never coated, never misrepresented. We offer loose natural tourmalines in a full spectrum of colors and cuts, individually selected for quality. Whether you're after a single statement stone or building a color collection, we have something worth seeing.
